7 Day Gorillas, Game and chimp Fly in Safari

This itinerary is ideal if you want to spend more days on safaris and experience wildlife, Chimpanzees and Gorillas in Uganda. You will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi impenetrable National Park. You will do Game drives, Boat cruise, chimpanzee trekking, community experience and ultimate gorilla experience.

Detailed program for your Safari

Day 1: Arrival to Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International airport to be met and transferred to the luxurious hotel as you enjoy your first evening in Africa during this Fly-in Uganda gorilla, game and chimp safar.

Accommodation: Hotel Number 5/Protea Marriot Entebbe( Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2: Scheduled flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game-Drive

Prior, you can opt for a morning or afternoon flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will start the journey from Entebbe to Kasese/Mweya Airstrip in Queen Elizabeth national park. You will meet your driver guide and drive to the Hotel for check in and rest, you will Later head out for an afternoon game drive for Wildlife experiences, you will be able to spot Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes and Many more.

Accommodation: Buffalo safari lodge/Kyambura gorge lodge. (Full Board)

Day 3: Morning ChimpanzeeTrekking and Afternoon Boat-Cruise

After breakfast we head towards the Kyambura Gorge where you will go for a chimps trekking adventure, your first jungle adventure for this Fly-in Uganda safari 7 days. Enjoy the special nature and head into the forest to meet the chimpanzees in a group with a specialised guide. After the trek we journey back to the luxury lodge for lunch before heading for the boat-cruise on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. The Kazinga channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and along its banks there are hippos, buffaloes and elephants visiting the water. From the boat you can see the big mammals as well as many different bird species. In the evening you enjoy a nice dinner at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will proceed to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth national park, known for its tree-climbing lions. The drive there takes around 3 hours and is an experience in itself as we might spot both elephants, baboons and black-and-white colobus monkeys by the road side. When reaching Ishasha you check-in at the lodge, enjoy your lunch and some rest. Later in the afternoon it is time for a game-drive searching for lions (Nature dictates) in the fig-trees and being fascinated by the peculiar looking topis. The climb trees is a rare behaviour for lions.

Day 5: Morning Game drive in Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

In the morning we head out for a morning game-drive with another chance to spot the tree-climbing lions. After the game-drive we continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable national park, the home of the mountain gorillas. This journey offers beautiful views as we go from flat savanna via cultivated hills on to the forest covered mountains of Bwindi. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge getting ready for gorilla trekking the next day which is the best highlight of your trip

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today, you will have an early morning breakfast at the hotel,  you will then drive to Park headquarters to start your gorilla trekking experiences. you take part in the briefing where you are told about the rules for the meeting with the mountain gorillas. You then walk off into the jungle with a group of up to eight people and a specialised guide to trek to the point where the gorillas are. When you reach the point where the gorillas are you spend one unforgettable hour with them, hopefully spotting the great silverback, seeing some young members playing and studying these fascinating creatures close up. After the meeting with the gorillas, you trek back and are picked up by your guide for the drive back to the lodge to rest.

Day 7: Fly back to Entebbe

This morning, you will enjoy a nice breakfast and soak in the last of the magnificent views of the Misty mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable national park. In time for your flight your guide takes you down to the airstrip and wishes you a safe journey. You leave Bwindi with unforgettable memories of your Fly-in Uganda safari. End of Safari
